Hi, I’m Erika.
Telling my story would be far too long for here but I can tell you this:
I have lived my life discovering new ways of working, living and learning together. Along this journey I have (co-) founded many different organizations such as dieLICHTFABRIK (development of creative projects with social impact), the PIER15 (cultural center for social impact), Papertown (constructions that replace steel and aluminium with cardboard) or the light‘s agency (creative agency for social impact).
I also still work as a freelancer for projects like MARKHOF (a 2.200m2 space that combines an alternative school with coworking and a creative community), the Social Impact Award (a program which supports young people to create impactful projects) and as an Art Director at the Impact Hub Vienna (a worldwide coworking space for social entrepreneurs).
My second passion is personal development. I studied acting (a good school for personal development) became a Systemic Coach und NLP Master, started teaching at the Coaching- and Leadershipskills Academy and learned how to work with horses as my co-trainers.
I always enjoyed organizing events for a good cause with a creative twist. Amongst them the stEFFIE Festival (Experimental, Fun Festival for Innovative Education), the Open Shop (Market for sustainable design), the Topic Clash (bringing together people from contrary viewpoints) or the Secret Dinner Game (authentic, extraordinary encounters with people you don‘t know).
After working some years only as a graphic designer for social causes, I felt the urge to go back to my roots and start organizing these kind of events again.
Breaking Patterns was born out of combining my experiences and passion for personal development, magical events and new ways of working, learning and living.
But I‘m not alone. I have a lot of partners that help me create, organize and promote our events, and I am currently looking for a new home-base — a shared space of crazy, socially driven people that want to find creative ways to make this world a better place.
And there is much more to come. Join the gang of organizers (just contact me via E-Mail at firstname.lastname@example.org) or stay updated about our next adventures through our newsletter.
Peace and fierce love,
